Brightgreen Home Loans is a mortgage banking company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina with offices located across the nation. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Hestia Financial Inc., a financial services company which believes that in the current market environment, the mortgage brokerage community is coming under pressure to undertake mortgage banking operations in order to keep pace with a fast moving and constantly changing mortgage lending industry. It is a highly fractured community and given the current lack of resources and corporate infrastructure available in the average broker operation, the Company believes that an attractive consolidation opportunity exists in this sector.

Ultimately it is the Company’s belief that a consolidated mortgage origination and mortgage banking operation with FHA full-lending capability will drive P/E multiple growth, improved operating margins, and will provide for increased liquidity and valuation under the auspices of a diversified, publicly traded, financial services organization. As a result the Company has begun acquiring private independent mortgage brokerage operations throughout the United States at what the Company believes are below public market valuations.

With the current crisis in the mortgage market, HESTIA sees an opportunity in the “scratched and dented” portfolio market. We are currently in the final negotiations with several purchasers of these damaged portfolios that are looking to HESTIA to refinance these loans. The refinancing of these loans is necessary in order to bring the mortgage amount in line with the property values. With the new stimulus package and the new FHA guidelines, HESTIA has the potential of doing 1,000 of t hese loans in the next twelve months. One of our major uses of funds in the next few weeks is in this area. With the new government guidelines under the new stimulus package , our program can be beneficial to investors in the damaged mortgage marketplace, homeowners that have these mortgages and want to keep their home, and to HESTIA in the form of higher profitability related to the refinancing of these loans.
